Transport from Copenhagen Airport til Holbæk
You can either take the train or the metro from Copenhagen Airport to Copenhagen Central Station (https://www.dsb.dk/en/). From Copenhagen Central Station you need to take another train towards Kalundborg (usually from platform 7). This train will stop in Holbæk.
• Travel time from Copenhagen Central Station to Holbæk: 42–64 minutes depending on the train.
• You only need to buy one ticket from Copenhagen Airport to Holbæk (same price whether you take metro or train to the central station).
• Ticket price typically varies between 50 DKK (~6.5 EUR) and 100 DKK (~13 EUR) depending on time of day.
• If you stay at Hotel Sidesporet, it is only 450 meters from the station (you can almost see the hotel from the station). Hotel Strandparken is a bit further away.
Shuttle service
We have rented two minivans (8 persons each) during the tournaments.
Arrival day (Wednesday):
On Wednesday, where we expect most players to arrive, we will constantly drive the route: Holbæk Station → Hotel Sidesporet → Hotel Strandparken → Holbæk Sportsby → Holbæk Station. If you wait outside the station, a shuttle should show up relatively soon after your arrival.
Tournament days (both events):
• Morning: 08:15–10:30
• Evening: 20:30–23:00
• There will be sign-up lists at both hotels and at the venue. You sign up the evening before for pickup the next morning and/or return in the evening.
Travel within Holbæk
• Taxis: Expensive in Denmark and can be difficult to find in Holbæk. You will most likely need to order a taxi. A fare of 10 km / 12 minutes costs around 270 DKK (~37 EUR) on weekends.
• Uber: Available in Denmark, so you can use the app.
• Bus: Bus 507 goes from Holbæk Station to the venue. Travel time approx. 16 minutes.
• Bus tickets: Buy with card in the 7 Eleven inside the station building, or pay with Danish cash on the bus. Price around 30 DKK one way.

Accomodation
Hotel Strandparken (main option):
• 68 rooms / up to 136 beds (most rooms have two beds).
• Please team up with friends/other players to share rooms and increase everyone’s chance of getting a bed.
• Price: average ~135 EUR for a two-bed room (can be split between two players).
• Booking: Email hotelstrandparken@vilcon.dk with your full name, number of people in the room, phone number, dates (e.g. Wednesday 13/5 to Sunday 17/5), and the code “Racketlon” for a discount.
Hotel Sidesporet (second option, limited rooms):
• Mostly rooms with two beds.
• Price: average ~135 EUR for a two-bed room.

Holbæk Sportel (inside Holbæk Sportsby, limited rooms):
• Rooms with four beds.

• NB: No breakfast included. If you stay here you need to order breakfast at the venue for Thursday (14/5) morning, since all shops will be closed. This can be done when signing up for the tournament.
Airbnb:
Airbnb in the Holbæk area is another good option especially if you come by car. Danish players are encouraged to consider Airbnb, leaving hotel rooms for international players.
Pre-tournament practice (Wednesday)
We have four courts available for all four sports on Wednesday 13th of May, 16:00–22:00. Please note the venue closes at 23:00, and you must leave the building before then.
The café at the venue
• Opens daily at 08:00.
• The bar is open until 23:00 every night.
• Payment: cash (Danish kroner only) or card.
Food options
Players’ dinner (Friday):
Players’ dinner is included in the World Doubles sign-up and will be served in the café on Friday 14th of May between 15:00 and 22:00. You must present a voucher received at the tournament desk on arrival. Please make sure you eat before dinner service is removed in the evening.
Preordered breakfast and/or dinner meals:
When signing up you can preorder meals (vegetarian or non-vegetarian). For the World Doubles event you can pre-order dinner for Thursday (and Saturday if you also attend the Nordic Racket Games singles event). For the Singles SWT event you can pre-order dinner meals for Saturday. Please see details when signing up.
Massage
Sports massage is available at 150 DKK / 20 EUR for 15 minutes.
• Payment: cash only (DKK or EUR).
• Please note you cannot expect to withdraw money in the café.
• Booking details will be available at the tournament desk.
Stringing service (World Doubles days)
• Stringing on site Thursday and Friday.
• Payment in advance: cash only (Danes can also pay via MobilePay).
• Please note you cannot expect to withdraw money in the café.
Groceries / Shopping
• Supermarket Kvickly can be reached from Hotel Sidesporet in approx. 4 minutes and from Hotel Strandparken in approx. 11 minutes.
• Nearest shop from the venue is Netto, about a 21-minute walk. We recommend you shop before going to the venue if you don’t have a car.
• NB: Thursday 14th is a public holiday, so shops will be closed.
Parking
• In the parking area nearest the venue (concrete surface), parking is limited to 30 minutes until 17:30 (Thursday and Friday). After 17:30 you can park until next morning.
• On gravel surface you can park as long as you like.
Other sports at Holbæk Sportsby
You can go for a swim or play padel. Access can be bought at the reception.
